A note on the glass +
A study for a monumental mirror on the open playa: a tall antique gilt frame, shell crest, carved acanthus, scalloped lower edge, and a reflection with a will of its own. The desert view is a visual scale study, not a construction plan.
The transformations happen automatically. Try moving slowly, holding still, lifting a hand, or inviting someone to join you. Stillness makes the celestial reading brighter.
For the physical sculpture, the central illusion is a recognizable human presence that quietly becomes impossible. The broad silhouettes, luminous moths, and shared heart are meant to read across a dark open space; the fine linework rewards coming closer.
Camera silhouettes are estimated locally using MediaPipe. The Union warps the combined silhouette; it does not identify or count individual visitors. Preview mode uses animated stand-ins. This browser study does not simulate projection brightness, daylight optics, wind, or dust protection.
