backgammon, played as a sequencer
Standard Backgammon: roll two dice, move your checkers around the 24-point track toward your own home board, hit a lone opposing checker to send it to the bar (it must re-enter before anything else can move), and bear off once your whole army is home. Win with the opponent still stuck outside their home for a gammon, or on the bar / in your home board for a backgammon. The twist: every single checker move sweeps a bar once across all 24 points, and how many checkers are stacked on a point sets how loud and how bright its note rings out -- not just whether it's occupied. The skin you choose is the instrument, and bearing a checker off rings its own little triumphant chime.
